Aisha jamila Hinds has been an American actor for over 10 years. Her roles are in The Shield as well as True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven on TV in shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she made her debut as an actor in 2003. The first time she was noticed was in 2005 due to the role of Anna, as seen in Assault on Precinct 13 Her role in the biographical movie All the Way as the women's right campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer was a major draw for the notice of the general public. Hind received praise for portraying Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season.
